We spent our 4th of July by going to the Centerville Parade in the morning, and then after the parade we loaded up our family and headed in to My mom and dad's. We do this because it is Grandpa Jim's birthday on the 4th! So Happy Birthday DAD!

I am trying to start a tradition by buying new 4th of July shirts and having a family picture taken, it is fun to see how we all change over the years...

Dylan Kindergarten Graduation and Jena Preschool Graduation!

Jena Graduated from Little Seeds Preschool May 22nd, 2009. She really was looking forward to this! She couldn't wait for School to be done. She got tired of gettin up EARLY, many mornings were such a battle. So I am grateful too! Jena was the first speaker, in her Class, she memorized her part-she did such a great JOB! It was fun to see a 4 year old do so well, I am starting to wonder if we should look into acting since she has an amazing memory, and LOVES to be VERY dramatic! Probably not due you never know when she is going to co-operate! Typical Girl!

Dylan Graduated Kindergarten on Thursday June 4th! He was very calm, which is kind of funny because he is becoming a high strung kid! He had a Part he had to learn and said it without a Hitch! ( We learned how say the alphabet in sign language!) Very cute, and he wasn't even Nervous!!! Wow, definetly not like me. Dylan had a wonderful teacher Mrs. Newland this year, now we are hoping for just as wonderful a teacher next year! We will keep our fingers crossed!

Jacob's Pinewood Derby

We are happy to say, Jacob took 3rd in his Pinewood Derby race. It was a lot of fun, especially since with him being the oldest child we have never done it before. Grandpa Eggett even went out and bought a new saw and sander to make sure Jacob could have the car the way he wanted it! Although Grandpa had been eyeing them for a while now, it gave him an excuse to buy it! It also made it possible for Jacob to even do the Pinewood Derby. There were 9 kids who raced cars, and there were 36 heats so each kid raced everyone the same number of times, just to make sure it was FAIR! I did not know that they even make each boy who makes a car place the car on the race track, it was really funny to watch what prefectionists they are even starting at the age of 8! It was also pretty amazing how they set up a computerized spread sheet that shifted and shuffled it. The kids got a kick out of watching their stats change. Although it was 2 other boys and Jacob that stood out WAY above the rest. All in all it was a fun evening, and nice to do something as a family to support Jacob. I am really proud of what a wonderful job he did!

The Zoo

We had so much fun at the zoo last Friday, April 10th. We went with Grandma Pam, Grandpa Jim, Jody, Hayley and Alex. The weather was wonderful, not cold, but nice and cool. It was so nice the animals were out and watching us watch them. We even got the opportunity to see animals you don't always get to see. Our dear sweet Dylan had a blast keeping track of where we were in the zoo thus the picture of him looking at the map. It really made it fun. And to my suprise he was really good at keeping track of it! And I never would have thought a 6 year old would. The kids also got a kick out of riding the "NEW" carosel... It was really fun for them, I think that might just become a tradition each time we go! I love TRADITIONS! We are looking forward to going back and thanks to Grandma and Grandpa we can go whenever we want, they gave us a zoo pass for Christmas. What an amazing gift! Thanks mom and dad.
