All smiles, is a great way to describe Jacob on Saturday, March 7th,2009! He was so excited to be baptized! His grandpa Jim was going to do the baptism and confirmation, and Jacob could hardly wait he was almost bouncing off the walls with anticipation. It also helped that Dylan and Jena were almost as excited as he was! We arrived at our stake center about 1:40 to take some pictures, and for Jacob to change into his 'WHITES' he was to be baptized in! Then we surprised him with his special C.T.R. towel to remind him to Choose the Right! He seemed really excited to receive this special towel. He also recieved his scriptures with his name ingraved on them. When grandpa Jim arrived we took pictures of him and grandpa in their 'WHITE' together in front of the font. Once I was done taking pictures, we went into the room for our program, we asked aunt Jody and grandma Pam to talk, Jacob chose to sing: I am a Child of God, I love to see the Temple, and Families Can be Together Forever. Which I find really neat, I love these songs, and I didn't even have to ask or beg to have them! Jacob had several friends from his church class attend his baptism! It was a very neat Grandpa Steve, and Uncle Adam were the witnesses to the baptism, that Grandpa Jim preformed, it went off without any problems! Jacob and grandpa Jim dressed quickly and returned for the confirmation! I hope Jacob will remember to use the comfort and companionship of the Holy Ghost to help him in hard times! It was a day never to be forgotten, I only can HOPE that It means as much to Jacob as it does to me! I am really proud of him! Jacob is a gift from god and I know he has a purpose here on earth, I only hope I can guide him to fulfill this! I love you Jacob!
